About the Founder: A Grounded Approach to Wind Energy
Orangewind (OWnD) was founded in Berlin by Ahmet Okan Sargin, a specialist with more than 18 years of experience in the wind energy sector. He has contributed to the evaluation of over 300 GW of onshore and offshore projects worldwide, providing precise, standards-aligned technical assessments that support development and financing decisions.
A Focus on a New Model
After leadership roles at international consultancies, Okan recognised the need for a more agile model: a lean, founder-led practice that operates as a central expert hub. OWnD assembles tailored teams through a trusted partner network, ensuring the right expertise for each challenge.
Collaboration and Pragmatic Innovation
OWnD is built on the belief that complex challenges are solved best through collaboration. The practice combines independent expertise with digital efficiency, leveraging automation and open-source tools to reduce processing times, enhance accuracy, and increase reproducibility.

To remain at the forefront of industry methods, Okan complements his consulting work with a part-time research role at Fraunhofer IWES.
